About

The Division of Invertebrate Zoology was created in 1993 with the appointment of now curator Daphne Fautin. In addition to cnidarians and other taxa, the division is the repository for the annelid research conducted by Sam James, an off-campus research affiliate. The division's wet-preserved specimens are housed in the fluid collections of the Biodiversity Institute, while material mounted on microscope slides is housed in Haworth Hall and the mollusk shell collection resides in the Biodiversity Institute herbarium on West Campus.
